Hand Knotted Gemstone, Pearl, and Shell Jewelry
Each necklace and bracelet is hand-knotted with silk, a timeless technique that gives every design lasting strength, elegance, and fluid movement.
A small knot is tied between each gemstone or pearl — protecting the beads, adding flexibility, and allowing the strand to drape naturally against the skin.
This artisanal process not only enhances durability but also preserves the individuality of every stone. The result is gemstone and pearl jewelry that’s graceful, resilient, and entirely one-of-a-kind. No fast fashion here. Small batches are released with care, patience, and an island spirit in every knot.
The Meanings Behind the Name: Sacred Wave
Sacred Wave honors the elegant spiral of the Fibonacci sequence — a natural pattern that appears in seashells, pineapples, and the curl of a Hawaiian wave. This geometric rhythm is nature’s way of creating balance and beauty, and it inspires the design of every piece I make as I'm truly drawn to principles of proportion and harmony.
Sacred Wave is a nod to the great ocean itself — a reminder of the natural rhythm, flow, and energy it possesses. Tides, waves, currents, flora, fauna, culture and myth of the sea fascinates my soul and inspires my work.
Sacred Wave references energy that connects us all — sound, light, and vibration. It’s about living in rhythm with the world around us and raising our own frequency through intention and awareness.
Island-Minded Care In Every Creation
Life in Hawai‘i offers a daily reminder of how deeply we’re connected to the ‘Āina — the land and sea that sustains us. I’ve been fortunate to work alongside an inspiring community dedicated to ocean conservation, and their guidance continues to shape my business values and creative process.
Living and working near the ocean is bittersweet. Every day there are millions of pieces of plastics washing up on the beaches. We tirelessly work to clean it up, we educate others, we make better choices, repeat.
What are my choices? They begin with ethical materials sourcing. This means negating plastics and non-compostables in jewelry, packaging, and merchandising. Repurposing vintage jewelry such as coral, glass beads and heirloom pendants. Seeking vendors who do no harm when harvesting, mining, manufacturing and shipping. Opting for recycled metals. Being mindful of e-waste. Connecting with the community for stewardship and education.
